Start with the work that needs doing
Break your event into setup, welcome desk and cleanup. Name each role clearly so a volunteer can choose without asking what it involves. The template starts with three roles you can edit.

Give each shift a time and a capacity
Choose the event date and set the start and end time for each role. Need three people for setup and two at the welcome desk? Set those capacities separately. Add another slot for a later shift.

Put the practical details in one place
Add the meeting point, arrival instructions and a coordinator contact. Use a custom question for information you actually need. Share the published link in your usual email or group chat.

A few useful answers.

Can several volunteers choose the same shift?

Yes. Each slot has its own capacity. Set the number of volunteers you need, and participants claim the available places.

Can I use this for a school or community event?

Yes. Edit the roles for a school fair, neighborhood cleanup or community event. Use a separate sheet when the event needs its own set of shifts.

Is the signup sheet free?

Free includes two active signup sheets. Studio is $2 per month and includes unlimited active sheets. You do not need a credit card to start on Free.

Do participants need an account?

No. The organizer creates an account; participants claim a place or respond from the shared link with their name and email.

Are confirmation emails included?

Automatic confirmation emails require a paid plan and the organizer’s email-sending setting to be enabled. Free participants can see their confirmation on the page.
